My Year As A Freshman
My experiences as a ninth grader was meeting new people but also meeting Boyle Heights. I'm not from this area so it was new to me, but it was good because I could relate to many of these young people. In addition, I also experienced a school where i did not witness one fight, which was very good, keeps me and others from trouble. I also enjoyed being in the pool when I had P.E. and meeting some new kids from Law & Government. While I was in P.E and we had to run the mile, I was always the first to finish.
My Up and Downs that I had this year were a couple, but I learned from all of them. One of the downs, was that I sort of started off very well but slowly did I know I was already being a disobedient student to my teachers. Another one might be that I did not read throughout this whole school year that put me down a lot. Also, a Down is that I was in the School Soccer team but I didn't make it because of grades. An Up that I had is that I asked many questions. Asking questions helped me understand problems more & even be closer to my teachers. Also an Up is that I did my work when I knew I had to even if it was last minute, which was usually all the time. But I put my best into what ever it was going to be.
Some of my highlights from this year is making many new friends and being close to them. I came upon my friend Clemente & he ended up being my close friend this year, he is supportive an a great person. We relate with our past & futures. Also I got a chance to participate on th
e volleyball team this year, my number was #45. I also had a chance to have great conversations with administrators, teachers, & principals. I also had chance to share my lifestyle that I live serving the Lord with many people who were surprised but understood.
What I'm looking forward to do next year for Sophomore year is to try twice or even three times harder than I did this year. I am willing to leave some of the time for myself to concentrate in school and take it very serious because I want a great future for myself and y family. For sophomore year I want to do sports, be great in doing presentations, and past both semesters with A's & B's. Next year I will try hard to accomplish my goal & set standards for myself, and if possible be great student to teacher's and others.
